A free monthly newsletter on voice, swallowing and airway research, with original clinical commentary.
For laryngologists and speech-language pathologists. In just ten minutes, catch up on all potentially relevant papers published across these journals over the past month.
Free. Monthly. By email.
The Brief exists to make that manageable. Every month it reviews recent papers from roughly ten major journals in laryngology and voice, selects the ones worth a working clinician's attention, and summarises each with a brief editorial note that puts the finding in context. It is written for peers, so it is concise and technical, and it assumes the reader knows the field.
Each featured paper comes with a short summary of its design and numbers.
Why it matters at the bedside or in the office, and where the data is solid.
Where the editor would hold back. The Brief is editorial, not comprehensive, and it says so.
Practising laryngologists, voice fellows, and academic otolaryngologists who want a reliable monthly filter on the literature. It is one of the ways the institute stays connected to the international community of the field, and it carries the institute's academic voice.
Edited by Associate Professor Necati Enver, laryngologist, at Istanbul Voice Center.
